Really has been a long time!

I haven't posted anything here in quite a while. Mainly because Blogger was being a Booger. I couldn't upload photos so I'd give up and go to my 360 instead.

We went up to the UP last week and this is what I did. I finished a pair of socks. Wait - 2 pairs of socks. The other pair hasn't been photographed yet because they're in the laundry right now. I think I do have a picture of the yarn I used. Let me look.


Yep, I found it but it doesn't look as nice as it really is. You see, we have virtually no natural sunlight so everything was propane-lamp enhanced all week. What a dreary week it was.

I'm working on even ANOTHER pair of socks. Shades of autumn - rust, green and some sorta red. Those are for me, my birthday present to myself. The green ones were for Steve. Every now and then I need to make him something. Right?

We didn't (Steve) get a deer. They were out there. Just not at the same time Steve was. He was using the early morning/late afternoon approach while all the other hunters were out midday and getting all the bucks. When Steve was out, it was doe time. He changed his approach on Friday and still only saw doe. I guess we have more doe than bucks on our property.

Mr. Jeep is being a pain again. This time, the heater is going bad. This time last year I had to have the wiper motor replaced. Now, almost exactly 1 year later, when it's cold outside, I have 1 speed on the blower motor - really windy. I did notice that the warm air does trickle out ever so gently on the other 3 fan-speed choices, but, it could take forever to warm up that way in the a.m. On my way to work yesterday there was a really nasty burning smell going on. I didn't know if it was me or someone else.
It was me.
It smelled like burning hair to me so I checked under the hood at work.
No hair there.
Oh well.
Maybe we'll have a mild winter and I can deal with trickle/super windy.
