The kids stopped by yesterday

They keep coming back for those pears in the front yard. It's so funny watching them chew those things. I bit one and they're awful. They just never get ripe and remain tough little green balls. I was under the tree a couple weeks ago picking them up off the ground so we could put them way off in the back for the big deer and got hit in the head a couple times since it was windy.
Mom stopped by a while later to check on her kids to see what they were up to, I guess. I had to take this photo through the screen.
I guess it's ok to take the screens off the windows now. I hear there may be snow this weekend. As you can see, we have propane here and I'm not real crazy about that big truck coming and filling that tank. Everytime they do that, they leave a bill and big ruts in the lawn. I was thinking of sending them a bill for "lawn repair". That is our septic field there, so, they could cause a real problem if they get too carried away. You'd think that guys in their 20s could walk 15'. Maybe that's just me thinking, but, if I can walk 15' they should be able to. After all, I think I'm just about twice their age.
Now, the big buck, well, not quite so big buck, hangs out in the back behind the garden. I checked him out in the binoculars yesterday and it looks like he may be a 4-pointer or maybe a 6. My eyes aren't so good with binocs, either. We have clover and more pears back there. I was surprised at how long the big female deer hung out back there last week. Took them about an hour to fill up on clover and pears.
Knitting? Have I been knitting? Yep. Working on a white sock now. Photos to come some other time.
