Ice! and some socks

That's my TJ. Just sitting out there in the driveway covered in ice cicles. We're not going anywhere today, either. I'm sure it's fine out there by now, but, it's way better to stay home on a paid day off and knit or take photos. I may finish the laundry but I think I have enough clean clothes to get me through a 4 day work week.

The next photo is of our pear tree. Yep, those are pears. It's an ornamental tree and didn't have pears the first year we had it. They're tiny and about the size of crabapples.

This is the sweater that I've been working on for over a year now. Maybe it's not quite over a year. Sure feels like it. I've been moving it around about that long. We spilled Sikkens Cetol 1 on it while working on the interior of the house last winter. I soaked it in water real quick and saved it. That was the back of the sweater. Just before Christmas I knitted the two sides of the front and just the other day I finished 1 sleeve. Last night, I started sleeve #2 after working for 6 hours on the big mohair sweater.

These are my socks. Aren't they pretty? That's one of the yarns that I won on eBay just around Thanksgiving. The nice lady put 4 balls, (or 5?) up for bid and I won. The next pair I'm going to make is out of Opal Brasil. I don't remember what the color name is that I used for that pair over there. I wore them already and they've been laundered. I even wore a pair of my wool socks to play wallyball on Saturday night. That was comfy.
I guess I better get back to my knitting. I hope everyone is staying safe this afternoon out there. It appears that most of us are in this weather thing together.
