This doesn't show up all that well - wait, it does. It's rather non-descript. This is the cardigan that I'm working on to go with a pair of green khakis that I bought at Target last week. I discovered that I have very little in my closet that goes with that shade of dull green.
It's Super Bowl Sunday here in the Detroit Metro Area. I'm far from it - way over here in the base of the thumb of the mitten.
We got snow, but not as much as they said we would. I took some photos but they're still in my camera. I thought I downloaded them, but, didn't find them in the photo file.
I will show you the yarn that I'm going to make my first pair of Olympic socks with. Let me see if I can set it here or if it's going to do the blog thing and pop in up there at the top.

Yep - it went up there. I had to drag it down.
I have been thinking about what to do with this cotton variegated yarn for years. I do think I used it once, but, I can't remember what for. I don't seem to have anything in my closet to show for it. Maybe it's in a tote in the basement unfinished. I'll see.
I wear a lot of black and usually wear something bright with it so this will fit just fine into my wardrobe and satisfy a curiosity at the same time. I've had the black cotton for about 3 years (or more) and think it's time to use it.
Our internet decided to take a time-out yesterday because of the weather and I was in the middle of trying to win some gold sparkly cotton yarn yesterday. The auction's up now but I didn't give up without a fight. My competition had proxy bidding or something going on so I went up by $5 this a.m. just to up their final price. I love when I can do that. If I can't have the yarn the competition will pay way more than they thought they would. It was at $10.95 this a.m. and at $19 when I was done. That'll teach 'em.
Hope it wasn't any of you out there......
