I was looking for something yesterday and I found yarn! Oh yes, I remember what I was looking for - yarn.
I'm knitting sweaters for American Girl dolls that will be joining the family this Christmas. My nieces are getting them so, I decided to get to work.
I was so surprised when I opened the wood box and found it was full of black wool yarn and sock yarn from KnitPicks. I was sorta thinking that I had some somewhere but since I didn't know where that somewhere was, I just keep ordering yarn from eBay.
eBay is a wonderful place.
I was surfing there today while I was eating my lunch at work. Nothing really caught my fancy. Nope, that's lying. Any yarnaholic knows that saying that is a form of denial. I saw several wonderful alpacas and wools that I would love to have. Then, the people on the other side of the cube wall started talking about property taxes and I was brought back down to reality. Property taxes. Yep, they're due in the beginning of next year. Every year between November and February I slow down on my purchases. Kinda makes me wonder just how much I do spend on yarn. I try to keep it to the amount of "extra" money that's in my paycheck since I got my raise. I think I've been going over, though.
Back to my sweaters. Christmas is coming.
