It's Amphibius out there...

All the green guys were out this afternoon. That frog over there to the left was down in the egress window well yesterday along with the funny looking green toad below. Altogether I had to rescue 4 hoppies. 3 frogs of the "tree" variety and one silly toad. Why is he silly? 'Cause I had to get him out of the pit again a little while ago. Some hoppies.....

There are billions and billions of teeny tiny frogs hopping in the grass around the pond and out in the vegetable garden. They're so tiny that I couldn't get my camera to focus on them.

I've been knitting, too. I was working on this sweater last night on the porch when a loud buzzing sound was coming from somewhere over my head. I was almost afraid to look thinking it was some kind of big bee or somthing scary. It was a hummingbird coming to check out my orange/yellow sweater that was on my lap. Hummingbirds look so much bigger when they're about 2' from your face. This yarn was hand-dyed by ME last spring after I was influenced by some daffodils that I saw in someone else's yard. This year, I had 6 daffys of my own. My garden is getting there! I've been pulling out "weeds" and realized that some of them are actually perennials that are coming up from seed. I tossed them around late last summer so they didn't quite come up.
