I didn't start until around 8 p.m. last night since I wasn't home and didn't have my "supplies" with me. I really hadn't intended on stopping anywhere other than Joann Fabrics on my way home. My In Laws were supposed to head on down to FLA this a.m. but didn't due to weather conditions, but, it was nice visiting anyway. The photo on the left is what my sock #1 looked like this morning before I got started. I did notice that something was wrong - turns out I was 2 stitches short.
Rip it out!
Start over!
As you can see - all was going well after the 1st half of Day 1. Well, I'm thinking today is Day 1 since the competition is beginning today.

So now, tonight, we're going to play Wally Ball - means no knitting tonight, either. Somehow, I don't think Steve is taking my Olympic Endeavor as seriously as I am.
He's not around as much as I am during the week, so that's when I'll go full speed ahead and see if I can pull out in front of the sock crowd.
I doubt it.
Work is going to get in my way again. The Olympics should be one of those World-Wide events where everyone gets time off from work with pay, of course, to cheer on their team.
Just a though.....
