It didn't happen.
Just as I suspected. Got all excited and once again, shot down. When I checked my e-mail first thing this a.m. at 4:45 there was a cancellation of the storm advisery. While I was at work today I received a new e-mail that now says that we can receive up to 5" of LES (aka lake effect snow) over the next 24 hours.
Am I excited?
Nope. Not at all.
Knitting.
I finished the pair of white socks that I was working on and need to send them to the washer/dryer then off to the nice lady who dyes them black.
My yarn "diet" isn't going well this month. Actually, I am doing better than I normally would, so I guess I did cut back. A technicality of sorts. So far, in 2007, I have won 2 yarns on eBay. I have a real nice wool/rayon coming and 2 skeins of sock yarn. I'm still well below $50 for the month. I think I can do it. At least I gave up the fabric habit years ago. That was just as bad.
Books.
Hey, I never talk about books here. I bought an original first edition copy of Seven Gothic Tales that was written by Isak Dineson. Anyone know who that is? Take a guess.
It's Karen Blixen, the Out of Africa author. I'm not sure I want to read the book since it's so old. I wouldn't want to spill coffee or anything in it. I might just have to buy a newer addition to read then re-sell. I also have a copy of Out of Africa. After I watched the dvd again I wanted to know just how real the story is. Well, parts are, parts aren't and I'm not telling.....
Later.
