
It didn't happen.  
Just as I suspected.  Got all excited and once again, shot down.  When I checked my e-mail first thing this a.m. at 4:45 there was a cancellation of the storm advisery.  While I was at work today I received a new e-mail that now says that we can receive up to 5" of LES (aka lake effect snow) over the next 24 hours.
Am I excited?
Nope.  Not at all.
Knitting.
I finished the pair of white socks that I was working on and need to send them to the washer/dryer then off to the nice lady who dyes them black.  
My yarn "diet" isn't going well this month.  Actually, I am doing better than I normally would, so I guess I did cut back.  A technicality of sorts.  So far, in 2007, I have won 2 yarns on eBay.  I have a real nice wool/rayon coming and 2 skeins of sock yarn.  I'm still well below $50 for the month.  I think I can do it.  At least I gave up the fabric habit years ago.  That was just as bad.  
Books.  
Hey, I never talk about books here.  I bought an original first edition copy of Seven Gothic Tales that was written by Isak Dineson.  Anyone know who that is?  Take a guess.
It's Karen Blixen, the Out of Africa author.  I'm not sure I want to read the book since it's so old.  I wouldn't want to spill coffee or anything in it.  I might just have to buy a newer addition to read then re-sell.  I also have a copy of Out of Africa.  After I watched the dvd again I wanted to know just how real the story is.  Well, parts are, parts aren't and I'm not telling.....
