The After Christmas Blog

I got a new camera for Christmas and had lots of fun on Christmas day with it. My kids have Canon PowerShots also so we had "camera wars" all day. You never knew who was aiming at you. The result was a lot of real interesting photos, some perfect for when you need to blackmail someone. Steve got a couple of those of me in the a.m. right after I took the camera out of the box and loaded the batteries. I'm hoping that those can "disappear" now that they're deleted from the camera and uploaded onto my computer.

I only gave 2 knitted items for Christmas. Two sweaters. One for each daughter. I failed to get photos. But, since they're both into taking photos of everything with their cameras, I'm sure I could get them to take a couple and send them my way.

Right now, I'm working on a Fun Fur scarf for my SIL who saw one at the store and almost spent way too much $ to buy it. I told her I'd knit it if she bought the yarn. Now DH has an idea. I'll keep knitting scarves for Lori if she keeps making cookies for him. How does that work out? OK, I guess.

I do need to get back on the Weight Watchers routine and fast. I gained 5 lbs (some days it's 8) over the past month. It wasn't all due to eating. Some was due to not eating. Yep, that happens, too. I was suffering from a sore throat and double ear infection and just plain didn't find anything to be apetizing. I'm hearing again and the sore throat is gone. Yay!

After this black/red scarf is done, I'm getting back to my projects. A hand-dyed cotton/chenille sweater in linen stitch. I'll take a photo. I can do that now.

I also have a mint green sweater in the works, too. Again, I can take a photo! I'll do that. One day this week.

Hope all of you had great Christmases and are looking forward to a Happy New Year! I know I did and am.

Keep Knitting.

Oh yes. If you JEEP - KEEP JEEPING!
